Attitudinal Healing Connection is a non-profit drumming and art center in West Oakland. Working on a tight budget, they needed a space that could host big events with room for visitors to make art. We started by polishing and sealing the concrete floor, replacing all the fluorescent light fixtures with warm pendant lights, and installing a quick Ikea kitchen. We placed existing art created by AHC youth participants, supplemented their furniture with a few new pieces and added window treatments. They were back to work in no time in their new and improved space.
